Check the original sale, returned quantities and money movement.
Before recording a return
Find the original document and confirm the customer, store, items, quantities and reason. You need permission to create return orders. Keep the sale reference available.
Record the return
- Open the return-order workflow under Sales & Purchases.
- Select the appropriate sale or purchase context and the correct customer or supplier.
- Add the actual returned products and quantities, including the variant where applicable.
- Review amounts and save the return.
- Check the resulting stock movement, return record and payment or balance change.
Refund money separately when needed
A refund recorded in Inventix does not automatically send money through your external card terminal. Complete the refund through the original payment provider as required, then reconcile its reference with the Inventix records.
Expected result
Stock and money records should explain the return without duplicating the original sale. Check the return report and the original account balance together.
If the wrong store, document or quantity is selected, stop and correct it before saving. Do not use a stock adjustment as a substitute for the financial part of a customer return.
For an Inventix subscription refund, use the separate subscription refund policy. See reports for filtering return records.
