Record a stock adjustment

Explain a known increase or decrease without creating a sale.

Choose the right record

Use an adjustment for a known correction, loss or damage. Use a purchase for incoming supplier stock, a transfer for movement between stores, and a return for returned goods and their related money records.

Save an adjustment

  1. Select the affected store.
  2. Open Products > Adjustments and choose Create Adjustment.
  3. Add the product, variant and quantity. Check whether each change increases or decreases stock.
  4. Enter a reference and clear details explaining the correction.
  5. Save and review both the adjustment record and product quantity.

Expected result

Only the selected store and products should change. The adjustment remains available for later review. A rejected request must not partially change the stock.

If you do not know why the quantity differs, investigate movements or complete a stock count. Do not keep adjusting the same discrepancy without checking its cause.
