Transfer stock between stores

Move stock with a record of the source, destination and quantities.

Before moving stock

You need transfer permission, access to both stores and enough stock in the source store. The source and destination must be different. Confirm the product unit and variant before entering quantities.

Create the transfer

  1. Open Products > Transfers and choose Create Transfer.
  2. Select the source and destination stores.
  3. Add the products and quantities actually being moved. Check each variant separately.
  4. Enter the reference and any details needed to identify the movement.
  5. Save the transfer and review the resulting record.

Check both stores

Compare the affected product quantities in the source and destination. Reconcile them against the transfer record and the physical delivery. A transfer moves stock; it should not be entered again as an unrelated purchase or sale.

If a transfer is rejected

Check available source stock, store access and quantity precision. Do not bypass the rejection by submitting several duplicate transfers. Reopen the original record if you are uncertain whether it saved.

Use stock counts for discrepancies found during a physical count, not to conceal a missing transfer.
